About

I bought my first camera more than 50 years ago.  It was a Pentax SLR.  Very basic.  Nothing automatic.  At first it was portraits of family members and learning to process and print black and white images.  Most of my photography centered around family events and vacations.

When digital began, I bought my first point and shoot to take with me while crewing in sailboat races.  I was trying to duplicate the images I saw in the sailing magazines.

After retirement, I upgraded to Canon equipment.  I decided it was time to travel to the places I'd always dreamed of going and photograph nature and the wildlife of that area.

I also began working to improve my sports photography.  Shooting high school sports and ranch rodeos.

I think I've come a long way from that first camera.  I'm still working to improve and looking for new places to go.
